I may be missing something but after marking the forum as read, when I come back later and select new posts, I see over 16 pages.    Is there a way to view just "new" posts, posts that have been updated since the last time I visited the forum?

That's my bookmark. Note that you can choose to mark a sub-forum as "read" or the entire SITE as read. If you choose the former, there will still be lots of new posts.

16 pages is the default. If the thread titles aren't bold, like in the image below, and there's no new posts image to click, they're not showing you new posts.
