So I have a dilemma on my hands, I have been playing the Calloway x-14's for a while and I have shot some good scores with them and also have gotten very comfortable in the fact that I know exactly there length and how the ball will react on different shots. For the past couple months I have been playing the MP32's and I have worked with them and have started to turn in better scores with them however from time to time they still frustrate me with some not so pure shots. I've had the lie angles adjusted to 2deg flat to accommodate my natural swing plane but I don't know if I want to work this hard for recreation. Anyone have any suggestions on going back to easy to hit every irons (x14) or should I continue to put the work in and hone a more consistent swing (mp32)? Any feedback is appreciated.

Really, that's a question that you have to answer yourself. If you are willing to put in the work and enjoy the practice it will take to play the Mizuno's effectively, then do that. However, if you don't want to or don't have the time to put in the work then there is nothing wrong with playing the X-14s.

I think you've nailed it, I just couldn't put my finger on it exactly. It will take time, practice and patience to become as proficient as I want to with mp32's. Time is definitely a factor, I wish I could play more but time will tell. I appreciate the feedback.

Check out your clubface angle at address. Is it opened or closed?

You can do this on any floor with square tiles. Grip the MP32 iron and put the score line parallel to the edge of one of the floor squares. This is what is "natural square." When people switch from one model irons to another, they sometimes need to retrain the eye as to what a square alignment looks like.

I did this after playing my current irons for a month or so. It turned out I was lining up about 2* closed because my prior irons had more offset, and the 2* closed looked square until I did the block test.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Well the MP32's are officially on the auction block. IMO confidence is 80 percent of this game and I have the confidence 3-pw with the x-14's. I have found some time to hit the range and I'm working on a more outside in swing. A consistent on tempo swing I now feel will make more of a difference at this time than an equipment change. I am a self admitted equipment ***** and I am seeking help with this addiction

Mate, get rid of both of them and get some new shiny shit

Taking the above advice may lead to destruction of your golf game. Laughing at it may reduce stress.
