Any ball collectors out there? I'm not really a collector, got a doz balls thrown into a box, only one or two of whch are of interest, one being a Ben Hogan ball imprinted "Shady Oaks C.C."

Have a question. What and when was the first ball with hexagonal dimples made? I have an old Royal -- dont know how old -- with hex dimples that somebody painted a stripe on as a range ball. The dimples are widely spaced, not adjoining like the newer Callaway or Max-Fli.
