He can lose my shags all day and I won't care. I don't have a place to use them, anyway... have I told you about my ball collection?

You certainly have a little reverse pivot in your swing. I see that you arent getting your weight shifted to your rear foot on your backswing. Focus on turning behind the ball. Also, dont let your rear(right) leg knee flex sooooo much in your backswing. Your right knee is getting outside your right hip on your backswing which is going to lead to all sorts of issues. Try adding a little more turn and a little less slide to your swing.

Your buddy on the other hand looks like he needs to move about a foot further away from the ball and really needs to bend at his hips, keeping his torso straight.

On this course (Fox Run), we don't really keep his score. He couldn't break 150.

I've played Fox Run a couple of times. Back when I played it, they wouldn't ever let the carts off the path. That was enough for me. How is it now?

    • This thread has been dormant for a quite a while. I did weights this morning followed by cardio workout.  Still keeping up with lifting weights 5 times a week and cardio twice a week.  Some days are harder than others.
    • I'm all hickory all the time now. Just finished the second ever hickory tournament at a great course not too far away. It was such a blast I just don't have time for modern gear now. What does that have to do with swinging the club? Manuel's teachings seem perfect to me. I'm performing better with less struggle every year now. Also using Manuel's setup I don't rip big divots on every fairway shot. I hardly take a divot at all now--which is much easier on the delicate shafts of wood.  It's also very much easier to pick a ball out of hard sand for a running shot.  I'm playing better golf with less capable clubs because I changed my swing from the body-parts-orientations/movements type of thinking to his "swing the club" and let your body figure it out way of thinking.  Most folks will never understand this, and that's ok, I know where I'm at, and what it took for me to get here and how much MORE enjoyable my golf is now. Birdies to you all.
    • The club and arms have momentum. Hence the feel that he’s not doing anything after 2.
