Hey all so I built my own golf net, I'm a lefty and currently live inside an apartment (for now) I can take it apart and put it back up relatively easy.  My only issue is the mat that i purchased from all turf mat's I bought their best one but I just bought the strip....it's two inches off the ground where I strike the ball and I'm usually practicing bare foot...not sure if i'm doing myself a dis service by training by hitting a ball that's about two inches higher than the floor level.  I want to purcahse the bigger mat but I don't think I can pull that one off with the wife until we have a home with a back yard.

What are your thoughts?  Sorry if this is not posted in correct section

The mat is going to slide all over the place (plus you're not at the same height), and you may want to put something in the line of a shank…

Golf balls will bounce around on tiles for days! That's bound to get a little annoying, maybe get a cheap rug you can throw down? Probably keep the mat from sliding around so much too.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

the golf mat has been sliding around like crazy already...one slid so close that I did not realize and i swung into the net.  I put the blanket down to catch the ball off the net and it's been working majority of the time but not always...I think an area rug is the way to go.
