Bought the SkyDroid GPS app for my Android this past weekend while playing some courses I was unfamiliar with. For $2 it's a hell of a bargain. All of the courses we played were available for download. The main screen gives you the yardages to the front, middle, and back of the green. It also has a zoom feature that uses Google Maps to give a satellite image of the hole you're playing with yardages to different features (such as lay-ups before the water, and to the front edge of a fairway bunker). Wasn't too stressing on my phone's battery either and it automatically put my phone in silent mode while it was on. I've been looking to buy a Bushnell range finder soon, but for now, this app is fantastic. I figured I'd share since I know there are some GPS apps that are free to download but then charge a fee halfway through the round. So if anyone is looking for a cheap alternative to buying a rangefinder or GPS, I strongly recommend this.

I agree, it works ok.  I would say it's 3-4 yards off of sprinkler heads most of the time but that's easily adjusted  And I got it back when it was free, so nothing lost.

I use it all the time, it's fantastic, especially for only two bucks. I've always wanted a rangefinder but I can't justify $300 when this $2 app does such a good job.
