I just moved out here and a friend from Minnesota is coming to visit me. Can you guys tell me what courses we should hit up within an hour or two drive from Denver? Basically looking for the most scenic courses. thanks

Green Valley Ranch is an enjoyable course, Eisenhower Blue or Silver are great to play if either of you have a Military ID, Broadmoor is obviously great, but very expensive, Finally Four Mile Ranch is at the higher end of the distance you'd be willing to drive, but I hear very good things about that course.  My experience is mostly with courses in the Colorado Springs area, to which I'm new myself.  Good luck!

I live about a mile away from Homestead in Lakewood and play that quite a bit, it's probably the nicest course I've ever played.  The price isn't bad either, 35 for 18 and a cart if you play between 1:30 and 4:30.  It's a short course though so if you want a bigger challenge you might look elsewhere.

I played Fox Hollow twice this year, once back in May and there were dead patches in the fairway and on some greens and it was being aerated.  I played it again a couple weeks ago to see if it was better and it still kinda sucked.  I won't be back.  It has a similar deal as Homestead, 45 for 18 and a cart between 1:30 and 4:30.

Neither course is on golfnow but they have their own slick internet tee time scheduler you can use:

3 other courses are on my to-do list for this year, I haven't been to them yet but they look well maintained and have occasional deals on golfnow:

Lake Arbor

Todd Creek

Heritage Eagle Bend
