I am looking to buy a new set of irons. I have narrowed it down to either the taylormade rocketbladez or the cobra amp cell irons. Does anyone have feedback on these two sets?

Old thread I know but I can offer my perspective. I've played Taylor Made R7 TP irons for about six years. This past month I decided I needed something a bit more forgiving. I too looked at Rocketbladez and Amp Cell Irons.

I was surprised that the R Bladez  had a very similar feel to my R7s. However I went with the Cobras primarily because I really liked the looks of the Silver model plus the price was considerably better than the TM. Also, I play Cobra Baffler Hybrids that I really hit well. While I still prefer the feel of my old R7s and I like their thinner topline the Cobras are definitely more forgiving.

Overall I'm pretty happy with them. Right now there are some killer deals out there for these irons. If you need a change or just want to try something different you could do worse.

BTW the newer version, the Bio Cells, do have a thinner topline, that I like. I'd certainly consider a set of those in a couple of years when they too will drop in price.

I have the amp cells. Good overall clubs in terms of forgiveness and feel. Have nothing but good things to say about them
