After a one week break, the LPGA moves to France and resumes its schedule with the playing of The Evian Championship. This championship, formerly called the Evian Masters, is now a major championship. It is the fifth and final LPGA major of the 2013 season. This will be tournament #21 of 28 on this year's LPGA schedule. Here are the key details: http://www.tonyslpgareport.com/2013/09/the-evian-championship-preview-pairings.html

The slopes and small landing areas on the greens were really making this a tough play this morning. Se Ri Pak did well but since she is nursing a shoulder injury, I don't know if she can keep pace, especially when they play 36 holes on Sunday.

That course looks incredible. Too bad for all the rain and ground under repair, but the hillside layout looks astounding.

I wonder if Pettersen can finish this one off and finally get her major.

This is her second major.

Yes, her second...amnesia again. Great play in difficult conditions. Kudos to Lydia Korea too.

Meant Lydia Ko ( not Korea ). Stupid spell check...

Lydia is sneaky long, outdriving Suzanne on many holes. That length will make her competitive on the LPGA. She needs to fix her putting to be more consistent. Great talent, bright future.
