Hello everyone, I have a quick question regarding a possible reshafting of my irons. I'm currently playing a set of mx-23's that my dad gave me and they have the stock graphite shafts. I wanted to reshaft with steel but i also wanted to change the lie of the clubs 2 degree's upright. Is this actually possible as I'm assuming you'd have to change the angle of the hosel? How much do you think it would cost? and is it worth it to just sell and buy a custom spec set of 25's? Thanks for your help!

that won't be a problem at all... luckily you were given a set of mizuno's which are forged, cast irons can be bent but many can only be bent a single time and some have a very tough time being bent at all.

your forged irons can be bent as many times as you want. I'm not sure on the cost of the procedure but with a reshaft and lie adjustment its definately a lot less than a new set of mx 25's... my brother just got a set of 25's, they are very very nice clubs but very steep in price as well.

Most shops will charge between $5-8 to change the lie angle per club and re-shaft for around the same price, so around $10-$16 per club, with a discount on a complete set.

I've seen shops do this for around $70-100 for a 3-PW set.

Thanks for the help everyone. Just to update, i've called around to get some estimates and most places are quoting me close to 40 per club. Instead of paying 320 to get a set adjusted, i'd rather sell my set for a little over 300 and pay for a set of 25's fitted for free. Also, fitter at my local range said that manufacturers make two different iron heads, one for graphite and one for steel. is that true?
