Hello,

I am trying to re shaft a Titleist 910 D2 with surefit adapter with a Fukijura Vista Tour 70 R Shaft (stock 46").  My question is how do I measure the correct length to trim off the tip.  I want 44" length but I am confused.  How do I measure.  Do I measure straight up with the shaft or do I measure once i fit the shaft in the adapter and head and measure 44"?  Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I'd look on the shaft manufacturer's website for tip-trimming instructions. I believe that normal practice is to tip trim per instructions (which will depend on the club and hosel configuration), and then to trim the butt end to finished length. In other words, whether or not you want a 44" driver isn't relevant to how you trim the tip.
