Grip size for wedges ...

Are wedge grips normally larger than the grips of the other clubs in your bag? Does it matter?

I recently picked up a new gap & sand wedge and find that they may require a little "getting used to" OR should I just have them re-gripped to match the grips of my other clubs in terms of size/feel?

Don't know the real answer, but I can tell you all my irons and wedges have the exact same size grip. I play OK with it that way.

It's personal preference. I need to have all of my grips be midsize because I can't stand to have one club feel different. The type of grip isn't as important to me as the size but your mileage may vary.

Actually for me it does matter. I carry three wedges: the PW and SW from my iron set, and another PW that I have for around the green chipping. THis PW has a smaller, shorter grip than my other clubs; it helps me mentally. I feel like I have more control with this club than my other clubs.

All of mine are midsize, wedges included. I can't stand small grips - it causes me to hit the ball all over the place.

i think your grips shouldnt be too big, with big grips, you wont even get the feel or the control of the club. With smaller grips you have a steady handle on the club.
