I'm looking to buy some new equipment for the 2014 season and I was wondering which irons to buy. I want to get some irons that aren't too expensive, but good for workability so I can really hit a fade or a draw easier when I want to. I'm on the verge of just getting better and really I think when I just start getting some drives in the fairway and being more consistent with my fairway woods I can start breaking 90 and shooting in the mid 80s and maybe start breaking 80 on a good day. I was wondering if there are any irons that are a cross between cavity backs and blades where they aren't entirely game improvement irons but still offer a little forgiveness. Blades tend to be a little on the expensive side as well. Lol

Irons that I like that I would categorize between a game improvement and a bladish iron.

I love my Ping i20.

I would also add Callaway X Forged 2013 model. They are forged cavity backs with forgiveness.

I agree with the last poster, the Ping i20 is a great club. I am really enjoying them, high ball flight and all.

Stole the words right out of my mouth...

I just got the MP 54s and so far I like them very much.
