the switch: graphite to steel shafted irons

Nah, brand new out of the box mizunos from a professionell store. I mean if only one iron would be affected it might be a single material error, but with all these affected it can really be material error - can it?

On the other hand, i dont play golf long enough to be able to judge, how long this material should hold (i really used them very intensivly during the time i had them).

I think it's a common knowledge in golf that graphite shafts are less durable than steel.

Still doesn't make any sense though... I used to practice with a single graphite shafted iron at the driving range almost everyday and there wasn't any issues with durability. I'm guessing he either got a bad batch or he has a pretty aggressive, steep swing which led to a gradual degredation of the shaft tip...
