I've never done fantasy stuff so is this my roster for the season or can I add and drop players per tournament?

You set your roster each week...only 10 starts per player for the year. You can sub your bench in mid tourney too but if you use a player, even just for one round, it counts as one of the 10. One of my earlier posts goes over the ins and outs of Yahoo.

@RFKFREAK, fantasy golf is fun and it will keep you current of the Tour Players.

The key is to track players who are playing well and start these guys.

Going with Top Players sometimes will not be the best overall results.

The key is scoring "Points for each round" all four days.

Keep in mind, "points are awarded for each day", not the current daily leaders or position.

The total of the points for four rounds, plus bonus points is each participants weekly score.

Lowest round score gets 20 points.

Example: Phil shoots 68 in first round and is the lowest score for the day.

Any player who also shoots 68 will get 20 points.

Any player who shoots 69 will get 18 points.

If the next lowest score by a player is 70, then they would get 16.

Scoring is in increments of 2 points.

There will be times when a player goes "LOW" and has a round of 62 (example)

Next lowest score of the day is 70. That player or players would only score 6 points.

All players who shoot 73 or higher, will get Zero points.

Also, the 10 rounds by a player rule, does not happen that often. Yahoo shows the starts for each player every week. Just don't ride a favorite player for each week they play.

What a great day !!!

Watching a little golf in Maui, drinking a flavored barley pop, FIXED my damn HP Laptop.

So, when do the standings get updated?  I'm excited to see where I stand - haha.

pt - Very tough seeing how beautiful it is where they're playing while I'm surrounded by snow. :~(

They usually post scores about 4 hours after the round is over. Watching the news seems like many areas battling weather...I am in west coast and we've had a pretty good winter...got 9 in today and was sunny but wind was howling...

pt - Very tough seeing how beautiful it is where they're playing while I'm surrounded by snow.


The league standing are posted at the end of the event, I believe.

You can view your individual scores at anytime once the event starts.

Unlike F Football, the points are not "Live interactive" they are projected points.

My first round results, 48 points, which is OK.

As usual, my bench out scored my starters, 50 points.

Not seeing what other teams score during the event, is somewhat bogus.

But it prevents team managers from selecting players based on who the opposition has playing.

PS, Jordan Spieth is the real deal. He has picked up right where he left off in the fall.

Also, Check out the "New Rad Look" Zachary is sporting this weekend.

Keep him in the radar, he's going to have a break season.

You should be able to set your line up for the 2 round today.

It must be set before they tee off.

It is a long season and you will be able to make up the first round points you have missed out on.

Thanks for joining, it's a fun league and it will keep you current with the Tour players results.

Can't do this each week....must be because it is week one. Usually if you miss the deadlines for the start of a tournament you are stuck with your team from the previous week, and they aren't always in the field etc... Thanks for joining it is a good time and keeps interest up in the tour..

You can now see the group standings . Click on the Sandtrap group off your main page and it will show the group standings after each round. 68 leads the group from yesterday...an impressive total.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
