I am sure some others watched this... I was not a fan of the setup... Granted the ball flies farther when hit far above the landing area but the angle, at least perceived by the camera, was awkward looking. Was anyone from the trap at this show? Plus people yelling mid swing...

"My ball is on top of a rock in the hazard, do I get some sort of relief?"

Yeah long drive hitting is definitely golfs version of power lifting so competitors getting fired up along with the crowd is obviously part of the whole show.

I was a fan.. I think its tough to hit it a long way and put it in play...I was listening and one ( maybe more) but 1 guy was a scratch golfer and he hit it almost 400...

There was 1 other guy too. One of the smaller guys, don't recall his name..

      PGA Tour Makes Sweeping Changes Starting in 2028

      Interesting changes. The idea of relegation and promotion have always been there in a different form (getting and losing your card etc and qualifying for bigger events) but it looks like they want to define it better for top tier events. The Tour has always had A and B level events (and even lower). It will be interesting what they choose as the Challenger Series events and whether some tournaments go to the Challenger Series that used to be prestigious. Not sure how the networks will take to this knowing they have “Challenger” Series events defined that way now. Also, I’m not happy that John Henry and Theo Epstein are involved. Look what Henry has done to the Red Sox.

      I have been debating getting a launch monitor of some sort, if only so I can re-figure my shot zones (I haven't actually mapped them in years) and also to practice distance wedges at home.  I have to see if this works with either my current setup, or what my setup would be if I move it to the garage.
