Canadian Sports Fans and Football (NFL CFL)

Just curious if our Canadian forum members watch the NFL and CFL.  I have seen a few CFL games and they are interesting.  But they don't get much air time here.

I watch NFL and don't watch CFL. I'd guess the NFL is far more popular than CFL in Canada.

NFL, the only Canadian style football I watch is the Rouge et Or of Laval University.

Just to let you know  boogielicious, A majority of the NFL fan in Quebec city are fans of the Patriots,  but not me :)

As a former SMU Husky, I am far too familiar with the Rouge et Or. There was a good rivalry going for a while.

I am curious because the NFL acts as if they are a world sport and are popular everywhere.  But I thought I'd ask our neighbors to the North to see what they say.

CFL is popular in the cities that have teams but not very popular in the rest of the country. It's too bad really, but the product isn't close to the NFL.

We saw the SMU team in early 2000 more often if I remember. Never Played for the Rouge et Or but I studied at Laval University. Like Foursum said, I think the CFL may have a heads up in the cities with a CFL team but we don't talk much about the Montreal Alouettes in Quebec City.
