Hello!

This is a different question that you don't hear everyday...I think. Im currently working on a golfblogg for The Masters 2014 in an other country. I have a very, very, very difficult time getting any sort of course graphics on Augusta National sort of like this:

http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/upload/40463/attachments/3%20SMALL.jpg

But its almost impossible to get ANY things that isn't copyrighted that involves Augusta and The Masters (thats no surprise) that I can publish. Do anyone know ANY opening I could try, because I don't have any time (or knowledge) to create these graphics. Its a longshot...I know. But they are so needed!

I recommend not even trying. They protect their IP quite seriously.

Maybe try Google Earth?  For a starting point.

I'm getting pop-up from a company all the time. Wonder how they get away with selling Masters' merchandse (with 100- 1000x mark ups  on some items).  Good luck. Maybe use a logo of an outline of the state of GA with a flag coming out of Augusta area of the map - a change over their logo of a national map.

Wikimedia commons is all open source imagery. My company gets a lot of images from there when we need an image to go with a press release or report. Not sure if they have anything, but try there.

    • No rain while I was out (9am to 11:30am). Fairly pleasant for a late November day in the Mitten.
    • Day 56 - 2024-11-25 Did the BAD Challenge and hit a bunch more other little shots. This was one of the closer shots.
    • 70 today. The number looks good but, the course is a par 67 (5,110 yards, 64.3/115.). While the 70 took quite a few good shots to achieve, I am not counting that as shooting my age.
    • Played our town’s executive course this morning. Everything is closing but for now Huron Hills remains open. #13 is shaped like an upside down backwards L (dogleg left). Only 231 yard par 4. Dogleg has a tree guarding the corner and a sand bunker guards the green for those cutting the dogleg. Tiny green. About 10 years ago or more I would try to cut the dogleg. The hole is so short that even if one tangled with the tree or was bunkered, par was likely and birdie was still on the table. Now in my 70’s, I just hit it straight and try to wedge it close for birdie. Today I screwed up and pulled my drive. I wandered around a bit when my ball was not in the bunker. Finally located it on the approach to the green. Almost chipped in and tapped in the 2 inches for birdie. Best unintentional shot of the week. 😲
