Is my club cracking?

I bought this Taylormade R1 driver brand new on March 18, 2014 and today, while cleaning my clubs, I noticed what appears to be either a chip in the paint or a crack on my club head. Now, I am a new golfer, so my swing and accuracy are not the best, and maybe this is caused by user error (if it is even a problem rather than a blemish), but I would think a $300 club would not be cracking within a month of play. Can anyone tell me whether this is an issue or just cosmetic? If it is a crack, is Taylormade good about warrantying their product? Thanks for the help.

Could be just a crack in the paint. If there is a crack in the metal the sound from the club will be very different. I don't see any marks on the face near the paint cracks.

In any case, TM is pretty good about replacing heads. You can check it where you bought it.

      Wow that was disingenuous. Like, let’s ignore that golfers actually rotate. It isn’t all side bend. Has incorrect or excessive side bend hurt golfers sure. In no way are golfers taught to just fling their hips towards the target. To basically claim it’s him versus this evil golf instruction industry is just disingenuous.

      I'm starting to move with some speed and confidence. Carried the fairway bunker 225 yards out on the 17th yesterday fairly comfortably. I don't think it was a one off drive either. Pretty much back to game speed. On another note it doesn't seem like my pelvis is nearly as thrusty compared to a this time last year. I hope I'm judging that correctly. It's an ongoing battle.
