Titleist Ball Compression Pictures

Hello, I'm sure most of you have seen the Titleist advertisements in golf magazines that show four different swing speeds (I've seen it labeled as fast, above average, below average, and slow in one magazine) hitting a ball with a driver at the moment of impact. It's meant to show that a ProV1 compresses the same for every swing speed, but I found out their video tells a very different story: [video]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TA1s1oNpbk[/video] Starting at about 40 seconds in, they show the same four golf balls in a sequence. However, here they give you actual numbers for the swing speeds to go with the pictures. The numbers are as follows: 175 MPH, 160 MPH, 135 MPH, 120 MPH. I don't know about you, but I'd be hard pressed to find anyone, excluding a tour player or long drive champion, who fits into any of those categories of swing speeds. Jamie Sadlowsky himself has a swing speed of only 148 MPH with his long shafted driver, and that appears (from my limited research) to be near the upper end for highest swing speeds on record. I'm not sure why Titleist is even bothering to test at anything above 130 MPH (Bubba Watson, a Pro V1x player, has a swing speed of 124.11 on average with a fastest swing of 125.78) when there's nobody that uses their golf ball at those swing speeds. That is, unless maybe the compression does change in the 70-100 MPH zone where many amateurs are categorized? Anyone have thoughts on this, because I just found it laughable that somebody gets paid to watch a robot hit a golf ball with a swing speed of 175 MPH, then try to pass it off as legitimate evidence of the compression not changing with swing speed. It may change, it may not, but this is not the way to prove it regardless. 175 MPH compared to 75 MPH would prove it if they were identical in my mind, as long as it didn't change in between either.

The video clearly says "Ball speed" @Pretzel . You can get 120 ball speed swinging at barely 80 mph. So… close the thread?

Pretzel isn't the only one to make that mistake. The guy in the video says "driver speed" at the same time the video shows ball speed.
