the only breed of dog i would have, the labrador retriever (mine is a yellow). smart, easily trainable, loyal, good looking and great disposition. what more could anyone ask for in a canine companion?

American Pittbull Terrier is the greatest breed on earth. :)

My Mother didn't talk to me for two months when I got my first one, because of all the terrible publicity they get in the media. Anyways, she now has two of her own, and so do several of her friends.

We have a Bull Mastiff named Oscar and he is a great dog. Prior to that we had a Black Lab named Barkley who had a fantastic personality. Both are great breeds. My boss has a Great Dane that is a beautiful dog.

I have a hard time believing that 98% of the dog attacks you see on the news or read about involve pit bulls is just a coincidence.

I think that breed should be exterminated.

Always had a soft spot for boxers and huskies. Two completly different breeds, but both great dogs nonetheless.

A black Standard poodle with a "sport cut." - Mostly shaved down. Our dog, "Koal" was about 75 lbs with a deep bark. Protective, smart and wonderful personality. This isn't him, but a splittin' image:



We live on a 9-hole muni where people routinely like to jump the fence to retrieve golf balls. Whenever we saw somebody looking like they were going to make the jump, we'd send Koal out there. He'd scare the dickens out of them. Little did they know just how friendly he was.

Koal passed last year at 14.

My 18 year old Tibetan Terrier just passed away this summer; just got a puppy Tibetan Terrier last month.

We had huskies when I was a kid. They're absolutely beautiful and friendly, BUT...

They're hard to train. If they get loose, they RUN like the dickens! (Who'd have thought?) They shed like crazy in the Spring time! - Hair clumps everywhere!!! Beware!

However, I do think you are far more ignorant if you disagree How many dog attacks have you heard/read about in the last 5 years?? How many of those dog attacks involved pits? That's all I'm sayin'. It can't be coincidence.
