Could someone please explain bounce in regards to wedges? I purchaed a 56 and a 60 degree spin milled with a 14 bounce, this is what the man at EW recomended. I am having trouble addapting to these wedges. When I hit them square, man is it sweet. But unfortunatley most of the time I dig them in the turf and take a huge divit. With my PW and AW Callaway X20's I did not seem to do this nearly as often. I relize that it is my swing but could any of this be attributed to the bounce of the club? Is the higher the number the higher the bounce? Thanks

Great question & I would like to see it answered also in terms that a lay person can understand. What effect does low bounce have vs high bounce? I have a 60º lw with 12º b bounce & I too am having a heck of a time figuring that club out.

Definitely thanks.

Now I understand the bounce deal & can understand why I am having a hard time with this club....it's all wrong for me & the course conditions I typically play at. I don't have a steep swing angle & the grounds around here tend to be very hard.

In regard to swing type based from

Titleist : Steep swinger (digger) = wedge with more bounce (slider) Shallow swinger (slider) = wedge with less bounce (digger)
I don't have a steep swing angle & the grounds around here tend to be very hard.

Then I believe low bounce is the best option for you.

in other words, the steeper your swing, the more bounce you need in your irons.
