I like the buttery smooth feeling of a pured muzzy (always mess around with the mp4 demo at the pya store) but honestly any pured shot feels good to me no matter what club. I mostly prefer forged irons for the solid feel of one piece of metal rather than the feeling of a thin face and plastic. Hopefully some day I can purchase a new set of mizzys.

Ha! I'm always at golfsmith hitting the Mp4. I'm sure they hate me.

I used to hit at golfsmith too but I definitely got a sense that they hated me. And I purchased a membership for the hitting bays at the pga store when I bought my irons so they don't mind. I just take the mp4 to the practice bay and they love me at the pga store. That is until I ask them to put together a full set of TEs for me since the membership also includes unlimited free club repair. The work they do will pay for the membership itself.

Just a heads up. The same gentleman I ordered my gently used like new MMB blades is selling a like new set of TE (3-gw) with FST 115 stiff on eBay. Starting bid $179. He started his bid on the MMB for $189 and that's what I got them for. This is his second posting of the TE as nobody bit on his $189 original starting bid. So I think you can get them for a steal. He's legit and the clubs are great. Just one note however, seems Maltby standard lengths are about 1/4 inch shorter than traditional lengths.

Thank you very much. Very interested in the pictures!

Here a few photos I took. They include a Mizuno TZoid 1 iron I had laying around for a comparison. I agree with other poster, you can't beat these clubs, they are that good. The low price is just a huge bonus

WOW! That is great! I can't find any specs about sole width of any big OEMs so I couldn't really tell what .781" really looked like. ...

What you might do is contact the manufacturer and ask for the "factory specs" on the irons of interest. "Factory specs" usually contain extra columns of  data on the model measurements which the OEMs don't put in the annual product catalogs, or online promo sites.

    • I am fascinated by this article. Given so many are upset, I would love to see how the calculations changed for them. In the USA, it likely reduced handicaps, at least for me. In the UK it appears to inflate handicaps but not uniformly?

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
