Has anyone ever heard of or played with Hogan Radial irons? I was at the range today and an elderly gentleman who is there everyday pulled these irons out of his bag and asked me to try them out. Well let me tell you, for 30 years old (give or take a few years), these irons are incredible. They look just like a blade iron but are more geared towards game improvement.

I was killing these things. They're long, accurate, easy to hit and have a nice buttery feeling at impact. Just curious if anyone knows anything about Hogan Radial's. Cheers.

Yep.  Bought them in......maybe 1983ish.  Played them close to 10 years until Fred Couples convinced me that I just couldn't live without a set of Lynx Parallax.

Great iron with that really low muscle back and a lot of bounce.  Very solid and easy to hit.  May need to dig them out, I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't still up in the attic somewhere, probably right next to the Lynx. :-)

I bought a set of these a few years ago at a resale shop just to have clubs to hit around the yard. When I got into golf a bit more seriously, I bought a set of more modern GI clubs. But for the last year or so, I've been wanting to bust these out and play a round with them.

Because my game has been so awful lately, I decided that playing a few rounds where nothing mattered except having fun might do some good. This past weekend, I brought the radials out along with my putter, driver and woods, played from the back tees and without keeping score proceeded to play really well. The 3 iron was a mix of clean and off-center shots, but overall, they rest were really easy to hit. Even though I didn't keep score on paper, it would have been lower than normal.

The Hogan E wedge has always been the most versatile club I've ever played from 80 yards and in. It's to the point where I'm thinking of replacing my GI gap wedge with it.

Anyway, I just wanted to add that if someone like me can hit these clubs, they must have been pretty good in their day.
