Way up in the Alps, next to Lake Geneva, the golf ladies of the world will gather this weekend and knit together a 4 day  event of high excitement, and no doubt enjoy the trappings of this ultra-lux resort. .

All the top ladies, including last week's winner, from Holland, Dewi Clare Schreefel. will compete for total purse of US$3.3 million, winner taking home $485K.  Course plays to 6500 yards.

Korean girl, Hyo Joo Kim,  shoots minus TEN, day one. That's what happens with 10 birdies, others par. KWebb 4 back, other players further down. MWie WD after 6 holes due to injured hand.

I lost almost all interest when Wie WDed.

Depending on the leaderboard tomorrow/Sunday, I may lose what remains.

Ditto.  Some how I was hoping to see Wie make a run for her second "major".  But alas, it was not to be.

HJKim, the teen who shot -10 first day, wins first LPGA tourney with -11, one stroke better  than KWebb.  3 more Koreans follow at -9 and -8. Lots of high scores 3rd and 4th rounds.

I caught a bit of the tournament replayed the other night, and the greens looked pretty ridiculous. Very steep and fast.

When I told my wife we would go to the tournament in Prattville next Saturday I didn't know it was the week after a Major (in another country no less). (SMH!) Most of the bigger names probably won't even fly back to play. Oh well I guess we'll watch whoever shows up. ;-)

      Day 200 3-4 Wider back swing, arms up a bit higher, and added in some flow work to start getting a since of a full swing. Still focusing on arching wrist through downswing.

      It's going to be very difficult for the 2026 Masters to match the 2025 edition for storyline. I honestly don't know that anyone else in the field could match the story of Rory finally winning after so many years and the blow ups over the years, not to mention the career slam being completed. No one this year that I can think of is remotely close to that kind of story.
