I have video of it and it's exactly on hosle with irons when hit driver perfectly on hosle leaving mark can't see any movement in anything doesn't look like am coming over top but am literally half inch from perfect hit!!

I don't understand this. How is hitting them on the hosle half inch from perfect? And if you can see where your impact on the clubface is on a video that camera must be awesome. Is your clubface open at set up? I used to hit "shanks" with my wedges and pitches every now and then, Come to find out I just had my wedges wide open at set up. It looked exactly like a shank but was really just a crazy push/slice with them. I assume also if you are or were good you probably swing inside out, so maybe your arms are pushing away from your body? Honestly, I am just throwing things out there that I would be thinking of if I had your problem because there isn't a whole lot to go on.

It sounds like you are just getting tired, lazy, or trying to much.  After those first 30 or so good shots call it a day, practice some chipping than some putting.  Your legs or arms might be getting tired and that's screwing up your normal swing, than you start thinking about the swing too much and before you know it you're not swinging your swing.  next time just hit the small bucket nice and fresh.  See how that goes.. and the hips forward video is the best.  I warm up with that drill whenever I play now.

I know it's closer to the hosel than the toe but I thought a half inch seemed a little close.

Welcome to the shank club.

Shanks come and go. I pride myself on only hitting 4 shanks today, even better, they were merged with fat shots. :-$

Maybe am not turning hips enough through impact

No. That's probably not it.

1. Start a My Swing thread. Post a few videos of your swing.

2. Await feedback and comments. Practice what you're told.

3. Improve.

You can always start playing the shank. Figure about how far right you hit it and how far. If you're right handed, start aiming 30* left of target and let 'er rip. I had the shanks one day at and exec course. Mostly par 3's. I punched woods and putters. Did OK.

Haha its to demoralising playing shanks am determined to fix this lesson me thinks

It'll probably take more than a few lessons. Golf is demoralizing if you let it get to you. . .

Here it is look at ball to shaft going dead for it

I am a higher handicap than you, but like to learn about and try to work out swing stuff for my own understanding. The swing video for expert analysis would be more helpful about what is happening.

That said, if you're desperate, I'll take a stab.

Are you aiming left in this shot or is your target line parallel to the edge of the mat? Are you trying for draw / straight shot or a fade / cut? If target line is parallel to the edge of the mat and your intended shot is not a fade / cut, it appears (if camera is between feet and ball) that the baseline of your swing path is well outside the target line. If aiming parallel to the mat it may help to set up a touch further from the ball & make the same swing while making sure not to reach out away from your body any extra amount with the hands to reach the now farther ball.

This idea would not apply if you are aiming left for an intended straight shot in which case your path could be approaching from the inside.

Can't upload vids off phone there's no option

Please upload to YouTube and start a proper My Swing thread. This site is a forum, not a video sharing platform. :-) YouTube kind of has the market cornered on that currently.

Mizuno is introducing new technology with their JPX One fairway woods and drivers. The new tech for golf but used tech for Mizuno since it is found in their baseball side of the business, is Nanoalloy. Nanoalloy is a microscopic polymer layer put on the face of their titanium driver. What this layer does is change the elasticity of the driver face and increases ball speed over a larger area of the clubface. Adding a bit more elasticity with this layer, they are conserving the golf balls energy from the impact.  Due to USGA rules, this technology falls under their coating regulations. Which add a correction factor to the ball speed testing done for conforming golf clubs. This rule was introduced when Taylormade went to their carbon clubface. Which I didn't know existed.  I am sure that center strikes are at the USGA limits like all other drivers. This has my interest. I am always, "window shopping", for new golf equipment 😉
