Played Mattaponi Springs yesterday north of Richmond, one of the toughest and hilliest layout I've played anywhere. This is pic looking back at the fairway from next to the green of the 9th hole. The pic doesn't do justice but that's a good 50-60 feet drop. Lot of forced carries to the greens which were heavily tired and slow as molasses. Lot of fairway runoffs. Visually beautiful course though. Played mostly defense and shot a meh 82 loosing five shots in the first six holes. -

Sweet. That's an impressive feat, my friend. I'd probably have given it a go, but I more likely would have had the ball bounce off a tree come back and hit me in the forehead, leaving me unconscious for the next group to find. -
