Hey guys, I just picked up a Adams Tight Lies Fairway Metal 3 Wood for my Dad the other day. He was looking for a decent one, and I picked it up for $50 bucks (Canadian). This thing looks so sweet, and looks really easy to hit especially with it's thin shallow face. Problem is, I'm a lefty, and with a club with an older style such as this one, not many golf stores carry them anymore.

I was thinking of picking one up for cheap on eBay just to try it out. I have been getting some different results though on eBay, and none of the results look like the one I got for my Dad. Can someone explain the difference between these clubs - If there is any? Or if it's just a cosmetic difference in appearance? Thanks. (Pictures below)

eBay:

Club I got for my Dad (Club face appears to have more of a shiny chrome finish, along with the bottom of the club, and the crown has a black pearl paint finish, while the other one does not):

The tight lies you got for your Dad is one of the Original versions. They made a few different versions of these clubs and they have evolved into better and better clubs. They still work great for the money.
I use the Adams tight lies idea Hybrid and it's been a good club.

Here's Adams History: http://www.adamsgolf.com/history.htm

I have the original Tight Lies the one on the first pic. Mine is a 7 wood and I can hit it 230 easy is just to easy to hit that I feel im cheating with this club. The ball get in the air very easy. The newer Tight lies I try, they are better and really easy to hit as well. Ill recomend you get the newer models out there of the Tight Lies.
