Otherwise, they would have just have attached it to a tree branch or something.

Dangling piece is new sole material Adidas is using and marketing. I guess they didn't bring enough drones or a ball hitting a drone has more marketing "pop" than a ball deflecting of a piece of foamy rubber. :-)

Speaking of drones, and somewhat off topic so delete or move if necessary , but did anyone catch the news story today about the new mosquito size drones? They are actually slightly larger than a mosquito, but they can be deployed to do all sorts of things. There have been few sightings of them, all unverified so far.  Crazy stuff.
