Hello everyone,

i´ve just bought these beauties but unfortunately im not sure if is everythink okay with them. They´re fitted by local ********* for my swing - 2degrees upright, rest is standard.

What i don´t like is dot/hole or whatever is it below numbers - see picture. All clubs from 4-PW are like on the picture. I gues that wont affect any aspect of ballflight or hitting the ball but Im asking just to be sure.

I do play golf game for more than 10 years with hcp 2.5 but I never seen this before from brand new clubs.

What do you think about it? Should I claim it or return to *********? They say thats because of upright making

Thank you very much for every reaction for advance and little sorry for my funny english :)

Is it a mark from the loft/lie machine when your clubs were adjusted? Or what?

Is it just a mark or is there "depth" to it?

Welcome to the site aaaaaaand I have no idea. But I guess if the clubs are all placed in some sort of vice, clamped, and then bent, I could see how, perhaps, there might be a little mark like that on all of the clubs in the same place.

Of course, it would also seem to make sense for club builders to know that something like that would bother people and figure out a way to avoid it.

Curious to hear what others say.

I gues that mark is from some machine who made lie. This mark goes from 1-3mm depends on clubs. For example 4 iron has ,,deeper" mark and 9 almost nothing or up to 1mm witch is barrely visible.

Question is this ,,marking" is normal or not and if it will affect something

I doubt very much it will affect anything.  Many of my irons have nicks and dings on the bottom or backside of them and there is no effect at all.

It's more like a scratch on a car.  Doesn't affect its performance, but you don't want to buy a new car with the scratches already there.

It shouldn't affect the performance of the iron, but you may want to talk to the fitter and see why he sold you marked clubs. He may tell you that it was the machine for loft/lie adjustments as suggested here, otherwise you could ask to return them if you still haven't hit them if it bothers you that much.

It's 99.9% likely that the ding is no more than purely cosmetic, but still not a great thing to have on a set of clubs you paid full price for brand new.

So I got two options from dealer - aditional discount - return clubs and wait for brand new from factor I went to the driving range today and clubs are perfect so ill keep them. Official statement from dealer is that clubs fitted on standard clubs (not from factory fitted) has these holes from fitting machine and its normal with no effect Thank you all for your replies and wish you nice game. Solved ;)
