Actually it is not really pain but more that the limber region gets tight and then I am not able to correctly turn the hips anymore. It is actually more range of motion or mobility.

I am sure a better posture will be less stress for the back.

Yes, so not arching the back will take out the tightness in the lumbar.

Tired it today and it feels less stressed Quality of the shots was the equal, but it feels less stressed for sure. I am wondering if that isn't already to much of a C-posture?

Hey guys

just a little update after 3 months of not playing due to a ruptured adductor muscle fibre :(

I am starting the ball a bit more to the right trying to have little draw shape, miss is the push which is then not coming back anymore.

What do you think of the swing?

Any idea?

As it was sunny this afternoon here in Germany I took the chance to work on the swing again.

I was doing almost slowmotion swings putting the focus on technique and rhytmn. I have the feeling that really helped the smoothness of the swing.

Did you guys have similar experience with slowmotion swings?

I'd take a look at the feet flare/turning rates video again (below). Your hips don't turn very much and they look very level. Makes the downswing a lot harder when your lower body isn't creating any depth or speed.

Compare that pic with these guys.

Cool, yeah my hips are quite passiv in the backswing, good idea!

I will try to get the hips and legs a little more active in the backswing and see how this works out for me.

Here is an other front on view.

It seems to be really hard to open up my hips without losing much of my balance somehow,

was trying to give it all I can yesterday but didn't change much after all :(

yeah on the backswing

I guess the problem is my left knee, it won't get forward towards the ball enough :(

In the downswing and follow through the hips are opening and I am getting to the left side without any problems.

Yeah that's certainly part of it. Do this drill...A LOT. Do a few rehearsals before every swing.

Hey thanks again for the good drills!

Got the feeling they are improving balance and rhythm quite well :)

I tried out a drill I saw on youtube, really worth giving it a try to get a good feeling for transition an weight shift.

I am doing my backswing with a very narrow stance and as soon as I reach the top, I step into the downswing.

Hey guys happy new year to all of you!

I am still working on the drills mvmac sent me, really really good if someone has difficulties with the right shoulder turn and dipping of the head.

In order to cure the pull shot which occurs when I am trying to hit it really hard or  pressure I added a little bit more of an insight hand path in my takeaway but allowing the club still to be on the outside and forward of the hands. This then helps in transition to keep the club "behind".

As well I am using the image, of a wall behind me on which I am trying to pull the club along for as long as possible.

With those in mind I can really go for it and have the security not to pull it  :D

@iacas  unfortunately I only got an old front on view from November. I will film a recent one soon.

The last month I put the focus more on plane and path to get rid of the pulled shots which fortunately seems to work quite well with the right "feelings"

    • Has anyone played around with "My Strategy?"  It seems they've revamped it -- I remember not liking the interface a while ago.  Today I went over a course I play semi-often and was able to designate a tee box for each hole, then choose a a club and target direction and it put my scatter pattern for that club off the tee, showing average SG for fairway / rough / bunker (if appropriate) / green.  I could change the club and see how another behaved.  It wasn't clear to me what I can gain from this, or where the follow-up shot supposedly originates, but it is neat to look at it on a map. What motivated me is that I'm debating taking less than driver on one of the par-4s next time I play this course, probably 4-Wood.  I have found myself, sometimes off of a good tee shot, playing my second shot from the tree line, as the fairway slopes strong left to right.  I don't think I've even had a near-GIR on that hole in 2026 (6 rounds at this course), and it's my second-worst strokes-gained hole, playing to an average of 5.3 for me -- the only worse is a hole where I've hit an O.B. en route to a bogey and also managed a triple bogey another round. Scattering my 4W pattern off that tee shows a higher strokes gained, but then again, hitting that club is far from a guarantee I won't fade it a bit and roll into the tree line, now further back from the green.  And I haven't hit a bunted driver in a while, maybe I need to practice that shot, but that isn't something this feature can show (since it doesn't know why my tee shots ended up where they did).  Then again, it might not know where I was aiming for my tee shots either. On a related note, I am finding their course analysis tool interesting, especially when I can sort by strokes gained average and also determine which hole(s) I'm playing to what stroke average.  Interesting that the #2 and #4 handicap I'm averaging under bogey, while 5-6-7 and 12 handicap holes I'm averaging over bogey.  The hole I described a moment ago is the #12 handicap.
    • Day 28, June 1.  Went to a course near me while running errands to practice putting.  I wanted to chip also but their chipping green was closed. I did my 4' and 6' drills (around the clock, but with the goal of making each putt twice, for a total of 24 from each station).  On the 4' putts, I took a total of 32 putts to sink all 24.  I'm very happy with the 75% make rate (scratch one-putt at that distance is 80%, bogey 65%). For the 6' putts, I took a total of 52 putts, for a 46% make rate (scratch: 55%, bogey 39%).  That's an improvement I'm happy with, and I'm aiming to do this drill once a week for a while, now that my putting (over the past five rounds) is better than the 10 hcp baseline (I'm a 10.7? 10 point something as I type this), which is far better than 6-7 months ago when I was losing strokes to the 25 handicap baseline (I really should write up what I did to improve over this time).  Amazingly, on the 6', there was one putt (approximately coming from 10:00) that I didn't sink at all in 4-5 passes and then was the only coin remaining, and it was face up.  I could've sworn it would break right, and I kept missing it left, and when I finally aimed straight in, I made two in a row.  Maybe it was one of those rare (?) double-breaker 6' putts.
    • This is feeling like the club is at P2. To get lower launch angles I have to feel like I’m dragging my hands through impact just delofting the crap out of the club.  This is trying to stop at P2.5. The consistency in launch angle gets worse. Contact gets worse.   trying to go P3, things get more volatile. The more I increase my swing length the more I can’t lower the dynamic loft.  Edit: these are with my 56 degree.
