i just recently discovered the feeling of unhinging of the wrist right before impact. my irons, 3 and 5 wood shots look incredible. now, w/ the driver; am i supposed to unhinge my wrist just like my iron shots as well? or is it a too aggressive motion in the swing for the driver?
please i would like a low handicap player to answer this.
thank you.

Low handicapper answers? Aw man, you're no fun.

1. Opening up on #1 at Arroyo Trabuco with a 330y jack down the middle (yeah, fast fairways)
2. Launching a 387y powerfade on the 527y par 5 dogleg right leaving 140y to center (yeah, a downhill dogleg)
3. Assuming only low handicappers know how to jack 'em: Priceless

As long as your have a firm left wrist at impact, the short answer is yes. That being said, it should be something you are actively trying to do, it should be the natural part of a good release.

Lots of people as part of unhinging their releases, end up flipping them and create and unstable and unrepeatable swing.

i understand high handicappers are able to launch em. but the low handicappers have more knowledge about the swing, know what they do wrong and are more aware of what goes on in the swing. don't forget consistancy.

not trying to offend anyone by asking for low handicapper's advice. but if you want to learn how to be a great qb. would you ask brett farve or a 2nd string high school qb?
