Hi everyone

So I'm pretty new to the golf world but I played 9 holes earlier this week and have the itch to get playing alot more starting this summer. A friend of a friend has some clubs he's looking to sell and I'm looking for advice on roughly how much the used set he has is worth? I reside in BC Canada if that makes a difference lol,

Items hes selling below

The Irons

Taylormade Lite S-90 (also says 360 on the heads) - 3,4,6,7,8,9,P

One Driver

Callaway Great Big Bertha Hawk Eye 10d

Putter

Tour Plus

and the blue golf bag

All the clubs are in great shape and felt great when I swung them. I have pictures linked also

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

The clubs seem quite old and used, but as a beginner they should be fine. However they do look like quite a challenging set of clubs to use for someone who has just started, so in my opinion I would pick up a beginners set that can come as cheap as $150

Irons are fine, but the Driver is obsolete and the putter really isn't worth anything either. Can't comment on the condition of the bag because it isn't really represented in the photo.

I'd say the irons are worth 70-100$ US. 70 if the grips are worn out, 100 if the grips are clean and have some tack.

Edit: Saw the post that the grips are indeed new.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

@Dusto.  The Han dicap Index is a measure of your golf skills.  Very good players lurk around HI zero, good players might be under HI 10,  but the vast majority of players  are between 15-25.  How can your stated HI be 5, and yet you claim 'new to the golf world'?

Regarding  the clubs you show us, if you are indeed new to golf, they will be more than adequate for a few years.  As you improve your skills, your desire for better equipment may grow.  IMO, spend more money on a few  beginner lessons rather than expensive gear.  Then spend the summer 'knocking the pill along the ground'.

@SavvySwede Thanks for the response. $100 buck US puts them at around $130 CAD. Sounds reasonable to me, I was hoping to not spend much more then that.

@joekelly I mean to google how to calculate handicap index sometime soon. Wasn't able to create an account without putting a number there so I went with my lucky number 5. :-P

Thanks!
