I'm about to get a new putter when I finally decide on one. I've been eyeing the new Odyssey Works #1 and the Ping Cadence TR Anser 2. I putted almost identical with both putters, but I think I like the feel of the Odyssey slightly more than the Ping. I have heard some bad things about Odyssey blade putter though. Most of these things I've heard are coming from Scotty Cameron and Bettinardi loyalists. Any opinions on the blade putters from Odyssey or is the Ping a better putter?

There's no "better" in an absolute sense. Hit them both and pick whichever you prefer. It's such a personal thing. I have an Odyssey putter that's a mallet and I'd prefer one of their slimmer models.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Odyssey putters, blade or otherwise. Guys who play Cameron or Bettinardi putters tend to knock Odyssey putters for their different feel as most Odyssey putters use an insert that might feel overly soft to somebody who uses a putter without an insert (which is how most Camerons and Bettinardis are). If you like the feel of the the Odyssey better, go with that.
