im looking to fill another gap. i want a 15° hybrid that is easy to hit. i need a club that i hit longer than my calloway x-hybrid 2H. the problem is there isnt a lot of options in this loft. i would prefer a stiff graphite shaft cause i will use this club off the tee mostly. a 15° 3 wood would be ok if it has a short enough shaft, i get a little wild with longer shafted clubs. remember, easy to hit. please help.

I've always found the Slighngshots to be insanely easy to hit... Its horses for courses though. Go to a demo day/fitting session and see what works for you.

we rarely have demo days and people around here dont stock enough stuff for fittings. even if i got fitted, i could find it online for WAY cheaper so i usually just play standard stuff and it fits fine. are the slingshots long, distance wise? i dont want to get something i cant hit farther than my calloway 18°

The slingshot is the best club im my bag IMO. It's very forgiving, I can hit it about 180-190 not even warmed up yet. I have a 2H which I believe is a 17 degree hybrid. Definatly give it a shot!

Since you request an easy to hit club, I suggest you try a Cobra Baffler DWS #1 Hybrid, with the Aldila NV shaft. It is actually 16 degrees, not 15. But give it a try. The Cobra Baffler is the easiest to hit club I've ever swung. I own 5 bafflers: 16, 18, 20, 23 and 26 degrees. I recently replaced the 16 degree with a Titleist 906F4 3 wood, but I will be rotating that club with the 16 degree Cobra. Do yourself a favor and demo this club. Good luck.

i should have gotten a baffler instead of my calloway but i got a good deal on it so i took it. i would get teh baffler 1h you are talkin about but i want a 15° or 14° im affraid 16° just wouldnt cut it for the distance i want.

I hit the g10 hybrid at a golftown around where I live and I thought was okay, I'd go with the Nickent 4DX amazing, it goes a long way.

No idea why you would want a hybrid to "go a long way," thats what a driver is for

The g10 has a long but narrow face, certainly not bulky. I has the V2 high launch shaft in it, it stiff, plays like a board but very solid!

actually i want it to go a long way cause my driver is all over the place lately and i have been using my 18° off the tee on my trouble holes. i dont play a 3 wood so this will kind of fill in that gap i have there. i looked at the g10 and slingshot today, neither was the loft im looking for but the g10 looks real nice to me. i didnt get to hit either one of them but i dont think anyone in town will have the loft and shaft i want so im probabaly gonna have to order one without hitting it first. im tryin to be patient and wait til i go to St Louis this weekend but im not sure if i can wait that long.

Here's some unsolicited advice: wait to hit the clubs before you buy to avoid buyer's remorse. Also, you might be surprised how far you hit a 16 degree hybrid. I wouldn't discount the possibility of the Cobra Baffler just because it has a 1 degree higher loft than you're looking for. Use judgement based on real life experience. Good luck to you.

honestly i would like 14° but the only on i see is the nickent 4dx. im trying to be patient and not order one until after this weekend because im gonna try to find a large golf store in st louis to demo some hybrids because my local stores dont stock jack. when i decided to get a new hybrid, baffler was the first one on my mind, i was a little disappointed to see them not make the loft i wanted. i will try to hit the one you are talking about before i make a purchase though, thanks. so im planning on hitting the 16° baffler, 15° g10 with the v2 shaft and the 14° 4dx with v2 shaft.

    • Never practiced golf when I was young and the only lesson ever taken was a driver lesson. I feel like I'm improving every year. However, the numbers don't support my feeling about improving. I usually drop to 12-13 during the summer while playing the familiar courses around home and then go on golf trips in the fall to new courses and increase to end the year between 15-17. Been a similar story for a number of years now but hey, it's the best thing there is in life so not too bothered but reaching 9.9 is the objective every year. Maybe a few lessons and practice could help me achieve it since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, just playing and never practice.
    • I am semi-loyal. Usually buy four dozen of one ball and only play that until out and then determine whether to continue or try another one. Since starting my semi-loyal path to success, I've been playing the below, not in order: ProV1 ProV1x ProV1x left dash AVX Bridgestone BXS Srixon Z-star XV I am not sure if it has helped anything, but it gives a bit of confidence knowing that it at least is not the ball (while using the same one) that gives different results so one thing less to mind about I guess. On the level that I am, not sure whether it makes much difference but will continue since I have to play something so might as well go with the same ball for a number of rounds. Edit: favorite is probably the BXS followed by ProV1/Srixon Z-star XV. Haven't got any numbers to back it up but just by feel.
    • Will not do it by myself, going to the pro shop I usually use after Cristmas for input and actually doing the changes, if any, but wanted to get some thoughts on whether this was worthwhile out of curiosity.
    • In terms of ball striking, not really. Ball striking being how good you are at hitting the center of the clubface with the swing path you want and the loft you want to present at impact.  In terms of getting better launch conditions for the current swing you have, it is debatable.  It depends on how you swing and what your current launch conditions are at. These are fine tuning mechanisms not significant changes. They might not even be the correct fine tuning you need. I would go spend the $100 to $150 dollars in getting a club fitting over potentially wasting money on changes that ChatGPT gave you.  New grips are important. Yes, it can affect swing weight, but it is personal preference. Swing weight is just one component.  Overall weight effects the feel. The type of golf shaft effects the feel of the club in the swing. Swing weight effects the feel. You can add so much extra weight to get the swing weight correct and it will feel completely different because the total weight went up. Imagine swinging a 5lb stick versus a 15lb stick. They could be balanced the same (swing weight), but one will take substantially more effort to move.  I would almost say swing weight is an old school way of fitting clubs. Now, with launch monitors, you could just fit the golfer. You could have two golfers with the same swing speed that want completely different swing weight. It is just personal preference. You can only tell that by swinging a golf club.
    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
