I have a wicked slice with my 905R - never had with previous TM R7. No problem with the irons.

I think this is due to the square club face on the 905 where the R7 was slightly closed?
Anyway, prob had the same swing but the R7 masked the flaw.

I can occasionally cure the problem (when I remember) by dropping my right foot back a bit (so aiming right more). Shoulders still in line with target, so I must aim up with some sort of draw on the ball. More often than not though, I just aim square and slice OB. Muppet.

Going to the range this week so will try some of the ideas mentioned above...

i discovered this tip early this year and it fixed every club in the bag but i just cant do it with a driver. i dont know why, i just suck at hitting my driver.

I'm with ya.

Most slices are caused by people learning to swing with a STRONG grip. They must then BLOCK it and not release properly.

I have cured more slices by teaching a neutral grip and releasing to a proper finish than any other lesson I give.

Equipment, Setup, Finish, Balance, and Relax. All equal in importance and all dependent on each other. They are the cornerstones of a good golf swing.

Not just body rotation. IF you are using POWER and your right hand too much. That's what causing slices.

Focused on this on range today and hit several great shots. Thanks. Can't wait to take it to the course!

    • Day 1: 2/26/2025: So, I'm starting over on this again.  My son brought home the mother of all flu bugs from school. It raged though our house and knocked me on my butt for about 3 days.  Now, that I think I'm clear of the death plague my son gave me. I was able to rise early this morning and get some nice mirror work in. I felt stiff like a board for the first few swings, but loosened up and was able to get at least 20 minutes of first robotic slow swings and then gradually more fluid swings.  My focus was on the timing and fluidity of my priority pieces.
    • I use a MagSafe connector on my tripod. Occasionally I use those clips.
    • Working on some swing videos. What are you guys having the best luck with as far as devices used to record the swing?  I have a tripod with a magnet that I stick my phone on but it is somewhat of a pain because I have to remove the cover on my phone and when I pull it off the magnet the tripod head changes and moves position. I was thinking something more like an ipad maybe. On a different style tripod and maybe even set it up to mirror to a tv.
