Why do I go through so many gloves????

I feel like I go through a ton of gloves each year. What is normal and I guess I need to adjust my grip a bit? I make sure the club is more in my fingers than my palm. I am striking the ball great with my irons recently and my game is really coming around (for me). But my glove always wear out in the thumb. The palm and finger portion of the gloves last awhile, but its the entire thumb that wears out.

I think the thumb is the part that wears out fastest for most folks. There is a lot of pressure there at the top of the backswing, especially if you apply a short lead thumb.
