I'm hoping to get some advice. I suffer with a higher ball flight than I would like. I've noticed that when you watch the follow through of a good golfer, the right arm is extended and the club forms a straight line very late the follow though, sometimes at 2-3 o'clock on an imaginary clock face. I am finding this impossible to achieve. in my case, nothing I do can prevent the club head catching up with my right arm just after impact. By the time my right arm is parallel with the ground, there is a 90 degree angle between my arm and the club. Any ideas on what's making this so difficult for me? Thanks !

My guess would be you are casting from the top of the swing. No way of fighting it during the follow through once the damage is done, you need to fix the problem upstream. Some nice and easy swings doing the flying wedge drill should help.

That pic looks a bit exaggerated, pros will typically look more like this.

But I get what you're saying and agree with @SavvySwede , your inability to "stretch" your arms is due to something happening well before the followthrough/impact.

Check out this drill.
