can you recommend courses in and near rhode island

Hello, visiting in laws in Warren Rhode Island. Brother in law has an old set of clubs I can use. Do you know of any reasonable public courses where I can kill some time? I'm a 20+ handicap. Thanks! Zac

I haven't played it but Rhode Island Country Club is near Warren and is supposed to be nice.

Beaver River Golf Club in Richmond RI is a nice course reasonably priced.

Exeter is the closest to Warren.  It is a nice course and I have played there several times.  There is also Newport National, but it is pricey.
