Hello all.

My father is about to retire from a long held job.  He's eager to get more time in on the courses and as a retirement gift his co-workers got him custom fitting for his clubs.  My sister and I think that getting him some top-level instruction would be a good compliment to that gift.

So, if anyone can point me in the right direction for high end golf instructors in the New England (preferably New Hampshire) I would appreciate it.  Even if it's a one time with a big name golfer / instructor.

Thanks for any and all help you can give me!

Welcome to the forum @MidKnight

Where are you getting your Dad fitted?  If you are near Manchester, I would recommend Ken Collins at Kustom Clubs.  He is a Golf Digest Top 100 fitter and I had a great experience with him.

As for instructors, I have yet to find one in the area (I am north of Boston).  I would recommend Evolvr, which is an on-line instruction service that uses video filmed by the student.  It is an excellent instruction service and the instructors are top notch.

Your Dad may be more comfortable doing it this way too. I was.  It is less expensive than in-person instruction.

According to Golf Digest:

NEW HAMPSHIRE
1. Marc Spencer; Windham C.C.

You may also want to consider sending him to "golf school" for a few days.  That is always fun.  Depending on where you are in NH, something like: http://www.ricksmith.com/

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
