I guess you would call it a support engineer. Basically installation or migration to new voice over IP phone systems (Cisco).

Thanks.

I guess I didn't realize this thread went back a ways when I jumped in. You already took the job, but my opinion would have been that a traveling support engineer tends to be more valued. It takes more skill to be able to deal with those different situations, and customers, I probably would have wanted that job too,

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

The job and the work was great. I really love doing that kind of work. But the management and just the way they did business in general, I did not agree with at all. But my old job, which is what I am doing again now, is the same type of work. The difference is we are dedicated to one specific customer. We only work orders and tickets for that customer. It's great work too. The pay isn't as much but there is no travel and we are pretty much are own boss, to a certain extent.

I gave it a shot and it didn't work out. I'm just lucky I had my old job to fall back on.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
