Anyone using xtd irons? I tried them last year and liked them but I wasn't looking for irons at the time. I have a chance to get a slightly used set fairly cheap and since I only tried them the one time I was wondering if there is someone out there that regularly plays these irons and what they think them.

I bought some this year and I like them. The heads are heavier than my last set and they make a sound that is different than every other iron so you might not like the sound.

When you hit them in the sweet spot that "cross cavity piston" stuff really seems to work well and the clubs feel great.

I was a bit dazzled by the Matrix Program shafts and I thought I was hitting them a club further than my old clubs but after I bought them and did some research I found out that they (and I guess a lot of new clubs) are delofted so that the pitching wedge is the same loft as my old nine iron.

This video is a good example of what they sound like.

The carbon fiber shaft on my 8 iron broke at the hosel this week. Adams is going to replace it but it will take two weeks. I've seen other sites with people talking about the back of the irons coming off. Overall I'm still happy with these irons though and I like the continuity of feel from the Adams Pro hybrids to the XTD irons.
