I just bought a belly putter and made more putts and rolled the ball better.Who is using a belly putter now and how will you use it next year legally without anchoring? Anyone know the definition of anchoring? Is it only anchored if the butt of putter is touching part of body other than hands?

In the picture "long putter anchored by forearm" looks the same as "long putter not anchored" based on just the pictures to me.

The anchor point in the prohibited section is created by the forearm. Not the case in the blue pic.

Oh so the arm is against the body just acting as an extension of the chest?

Yeah the arm is "anchored" into the body. The other one is "free moving".

Ok my method is the long putter unanchored which supposedly is legal .I just cant let my left arm touch chest is that it? This rule gonna be interesting especially if someone thinks other player has made contact with chest with arm.Might be opening up a can of worms.
