I'm curious if anyone has come across any sort of putting aids which create/generate a straight line you can use for practicing shorter  putts (similar to a chalk line)?

I like the idea of having lines directed at the hole, especially for anything inside 6 feet, and I've used chalk lines, alignment sticks, string and knitting needles, etc. to do so. Just curious if anyone has found anything they like that accomplished the same thing.

Thanks!

I think the string and knitting needles is a perfect idea here.

Thanks guys!

Came across this laser alignment aid from eye line golf (http://www.eyelinegolf.com/products/groove-putting-laser-dotted-line).

Anyone see one/tried it out? Or have any thoughts on using a laser for providing a line? A little pricey but interesting concept.
