Time to grip or not to

I have been playing for only a couple of months and bought some used Adams A2 hybrid irons. They came with standard grips. the last three weeks i have been trying to heal a Blister on my left thumb. so my queston is this a sign i need to buy new grips? thanks

If you are right handed and getting a blister on your left thumb, assuming you wear a glove, you might want to try a smaller size glove.

the first time i got a blister i was wearing a glove. th e second time i was not. and i am right handed

If you feel comfortable not wearing a glove then your good......if you feel you need a glove then chances are the glove might have been a little big allowing it to "slip" or "bunch" a little while you swing. Grips are cheap, so replacing them with say Golf Pride tour velvets (or something of that ilk) would only run you about $2-$3 a club and can never hurt.

About six months ago I first tried out the Winn DSi on a club, and never looked back. Best grip I'd ever used. Before I take any club home I make sure I get that one particular grip on it, I wouldn't take anything else. Before, I'd tear up my hands and be forced to wear two gloves at times, but since then, I've never had a problem. I'd recommend it for anyone.

i will try some of those winns. golfpride looks like the most popular but i will take them to my club to get it done. you know it is funny because when i had it taped tight it still bothered me. ya i had a glove and the thumb was a little lose. so i went with out it and still received a blister so the only thing i could think of was the grips or office soft hands.
