It seems that my golfing year is finally coming to a close, the clubs are tucked away in the shed for the winter, Problem is, the year wasnt supposedto end like this. A practice session has left me sidelined with a strained rhomboid in the left shoulder, more than like a result of a mixture of repetetive strain an over swinging.

The new swing was coming along nicely as well but serves me right from being cocky!. It is Typical however that changes to a swing in order to help my bad knees has now done the back in!! :pound:

Anybody else here in the same boat or had the same injury and have any remedies to go along with the rest and copious amounts of Deep heat?

I've had a couple of strained rotator cuffs.  Never completely torn, but I've had to take several months off each time.  It still hasn't completely healed and it's been 10 years since the first injury.  I do light weights now.

Is it the major or minor rhomboid muscle? Also is the nerve involved?

The reason I ask is I strain the minor one. The doc said I was lucky as it would quicker than if I had injured the major muscle. Also if the nerve is involve, you could be in for a lenghty rehab.

Its the minor. I still have full mobility and the pain isnt too bad. Get pins and needles from time to time but told thats down to inflamation pressing on a nerve. very annoying!
