Hey guys, I bought a cleveland cg 16 with a milled face this year. The grooves toward the bottom are smooth now and Ive owned the club less than 8 months. No practice, play once a week but its my go to club on any shot inside of 100 yards. Is this normal?

When you say the grooves, you mean the actual horizontal grooves of the club or the milling effect? The grooves shouldn't wear out that fast, that's crazy. The milling texture will wear out pretty fast, but the reality is it doesn't really do much anyway. More marketing hype than substance.

Yeah, my bad, not the grooves the milling. I always suspected it was more hype too...until recently when it appears im getting a lot less spin. After Examination of the face i noticed the milled texture is totally flat and smooth over the bottom half of the face.
