I bought some rechargeable batteries for my Garmin G5 GPS but they are very disappointing in that they may not even last a round at times. The store bought disposable batteries last 3 to 5 rounds depending on what functions I use. Has anyone had a good experience with rechargeable AA batteries for a similar device? What brand and model?

I use eneloops for my Garmin G3. I can play 27 holes and still have between 50% and 75% power. I bought a 4 pack off Amazon 3 years ago, with the charger included, for like $18 or so. I've stopped bothering to even bring backup batteries because I'm not even close to running out of juice on the course. They're a really popular brand from what I gather.

My experience hasn't been great.   I have apple (some other company underneath probably) for my mice and I don't think they last great.  My kids' leap pads have rechargeable battery packs and they are terrible, those are AA.  I would go with the store bought if that happens.   But honestly my laser Link has lasted for months with the original battery.  That's a 9 volt.

I have a G3.  I have had mixed success.  I think the re-chargeable batteries "go bad" on occasion.  Had a pair stop holding/taking a charge (Energizer).  Right now I have a pair of Duracell and a pair of Energizers.  Used them for a year. Typically work for a minimum of 2 rounds, sometimes 3+.  As you know, temperature and length of the round work against those numbers.
