Do you prefer regular club heads or club heads with borethrough? (Driver, Fairway, Hybrid etc) Why?

I quite like the borethrough as it makes the club less hook biased.

The Titleist drivers that I used 945D and 983K had bore through, my current driver, Taylor Made R5 TP does not. I can't tell the difference myself.

I heard the bore through plays a little stiffer, maybe a club maker can comment.

ks8829,

If a shaft with a long 4 inch parallel tip section is used, the shaft will play as it would in a non bore through. However, if a shaft with less than a four inch tip secion is used, it will play significantly stiffer.

However, there are club making tricks such as blind boring which can be used to allow a shaft with less than four inch full parallel tip section to play as intended.

The biggest difference a bore through shaft provides is feel.
