I'm looking for a new driver and I need some help. I have narrowed it down to the Burner, R7 460, G5, and Hibore XL. I would like some comments on any of these if you play them and pro's and cons of it. I'm a 16 handicap. Thanks.

The G5 is easily the best club. It's a little older but is still awesome. The Burner is, in my opinion, a little hard to hit, r7 460 is another good choice. Good luck

What's wrong with your F-speed? That's a gorgeous club. I just got myself one a few weeks ago. That having been said, what qualities are you looking for in a new driver? At mid-handicap range, you could be going for forgiveness or workability.

I have a Burner, no complaints.... I don't try to work the ball but I seem to hit it straight consistently. TaylorMade has a lot of different shaft options which makes it even more appealing

My F-speed is a little dead and it has lost some power in the sweet spot. I'm also looking for a driver that a can hit straiter and get some more distance on. I looking for a driver with forgiveness, and a little workability.

i love the look of my r7, i just need to reshaft it, the factory shaft balloons alittle bit. shaft is the most important thing, i believe all heads are basically the same its just whatever you like to look at.

In that case:

I recently switched to F-speed from TaylorMade R5. I liked the R5 just fine, but I loved the Cobras so much more. A buddy of mine uses the R7 and loves it. I can't speak for its workability, but either his swing improved after he got it or it's plenty forgiving.

why not upgrade to the F Speed LD?

or a F speed HS9 from cobra...i actually have one in good condition regular flex. i'd like to sell.

The new f-speed is just to loud for me. Thanks for the HS-9 offer, but I hit one before I got my F-speed and really wasn't impressed.

How about a FT-3/5, superquad, G5 is deff good you could get it dirt cheap.

Yeah ive been looking at the ft-3, because it is reasonably priced. I love the superquad, but it is a litle out of my pricerange. As for the 905R, 400cc isn't going to do it for me, need 460cc. Thanks for the comments golfme.

The 905R is actually 460cc btw, but it has more workability.

      Day 105: mirror work today. Focused on not looping my hands at the top of the swing. Straight down.

      Still working on the backswing a bit. Hand still gets away from the body, out towards the ball, and at A2 the club wants to roll over and get flat at A3. It's just very difficult to shallow from that position like I want. Which makes my downswing work impossible.  Backswing I have been playing around with the left leg straightening to start the backswing. It's like, a slight shove of the hips right with the left leg. Then just keep the flex in the right knee as I turn into it. I kind of like it. I never had a good swing trigger. It helps keep my left knee extended.  Yea, definitely feeling the hand path is traveling down the feet line, and straight up. A little bit of wrist rotation, and a lot more hinge sooner in the right wrist and elbow. I am trying to get the feeling that the arm hinging up then is the cause for the right shoulder to retract to finish the backswing. Club feels much more vertical at A3. I am trying to have my wrist fully hinged by then.  Feel the club and arms stop at A3.5 (my A4). If my arm collapses late, then I turn into that and I am pretty much screwed. The club and arms kind of have a floaty feeling, where they are just suspended in air for a bit, then drop.  Downswing I have been trying to think of a good visual for this mentally. I like the idea of my hands taking a wide arc to my right pocket, or I am taking the back of the hosel and trying to hit the ground behind my right foot.    Left knee stuff, just sooner.
